The Fishing Thread

I see there isn’t a dedicated fishing thread.

I started fishing earlier than I really remember. Over the past few years I’ve gotten into fly fishing and I’m never going back. I’ve got a 3wt and 5wt glass rod for trout, and a 7wt for bass. I know it’s a little guy, but here’s my first bass on the fly!

There's a lot of fight on a light weight rod!

I don’t use my 5wt all that much, the 3wt is great for creeks and for bluegill - 7wt for streamers! Bluegill on a lightweight fly rod is always fun.

It’s tough when fly fishing is my cheaper hobby. I can’t afford to do anything else at this point.

Fishing is fun! I grew up fishing with dad, now i do it with the kids. Not at any kind of high level or nerdy level, but just chilling and hanging out. We have a five minute walk to a river and some smaller lakes.

Last summers catch (not by me…) my 10 yo already caught bigger fish than I’ve ever got

Just worm on hook. Both of these were around 1,3 kg
