The Final Show

Duvall is the real deal. We was the perfect choice to join AIC though no one could ever replace Layne. Check out his previous band Comes with the Fall - I saw them open for Jerry on his solo tour (when Rob Trujillo and Mike Bordin were touring with him) and he was doing back ups with Jerry for AIC songs then. That tour is probably what started them down the path of getting AIC back together.

DuVall is killer! Layne’s my favorite vocalist of all time with AIC being my favorite band and I’ve been nothing but thrilled with him being in the band. I was sold when I heard the first single, but once I got the album and heard this tune and had it me as hard as any AIC tune ever had previously I was at ease knowing the band was going to continue. And then he blew my mind live and has every time I’ve see them since.

Both of these are good. Listening to 'Check My Brain' now and I have heard this one. Good droney riff :satan

That particular one is my least favorite AIC tune of all time, love the music for it but that chorus….”California’s all right…”….just doesn’t give me an AIC vibe (even if that’s what the lyrics are actually stating) Riff is cool AF though!

It kind of reminds me if Matthew McConaughey's character from Dazed and Confused formed a hard rock band and tried their hand at writing his version of 'Bleed' :rofl

The spirit and intention of this "Pantera" band is great.
The actual execution, not so much.

I just can't Zakk Wylde anymore. He's just so WWE that it is almost cartoonish
to my ears./ Some love that over the top theatrics. But to me it is just a bunch
of Hot Sauce on Filet Mignon. Tone it down a little Bruh! :whistle

Sorry, Zakk, You are a legend. People love you. No offense. :chef:beer

I do want to be with Zakk when the Zombie Apocalypse comes, though. Not for
his biceps. But for the Untied Boots. No fucking way he's outrunning me in those
things and a Kilt.

This is going to sound tacky perhaps (it's me so duh) but I kinda like that Red bullseye V with the horns Zakk was playing. Pull off the horns and I might be inclined to play one
:bag

I didn't realize there were people who bought those Wylde Audio guitars until I stumbled across a dude on Reddit who is fucking nuts about them. When they first came out I considered getting the white bullseye LP thing and cutting off the condom reservoir tips but now that I know about Edwards, I'd rather just get a white one painted with the bullseye, or better yet, find some decal of them. Someone must make those.

And Ozzy! That was the best I've heard his voice, live, for a long time! No autotune, not caked in delay and reverb.
Haven’t followed his performances for the last decade or more, but I was lucky enough to catch the ozzfest 99 reunion of Sabbath and Ozzy was so good that night. Absolute legend at any age.

I'm watching GnR's set now, hahaha soundboard mix ain't helping Axl (who sang a 3 hour show the night before) much here. The head voice/falsetto probably sounded ok in the stadium but hearing it right into the board it sounds like Towley from South Park.
:rofl
Sadly, the interwebs have dubbed it “Mickey Mouse voice” for obvious reasons. It comes up in just about every mention of GNR live these days. Fans are basically begging Axl to abandon it and just do the songs in his much lower (and still awesome) chest voice. It’s gotta be tough for a lot of these guys who were pushing the envelope in their 20s and 30s and have effectively written checks their bodies can no longer cash. We should all be so lucky, I suppose.

Maynard is even kind of a shell of his former self at this point.
