The Final Show

1000%%!! I can only imagine how impactful it was. Those were Hometown Heroes they were celebrating.

It was just what my heart and face needed this weekend. :love

Was getting tired of being tired, bitter, and grumpy!!

Oh yeah, true.
Maybe I clicked onto the wrong time the first go round? It was a chorus of Flying High Again and he was not vibing. Verses do sound good on a listen though so maybe I'm deaf and or dumb  Steven Tyler was great.

On a different note; watched Living Color's tinydesk the other day and I think if Vernon would let himself; he could sit in with Slayer on the solo sections without changing a single thing :bag:LOL:

TBH, and maybe I'm poking into someone's wasp nest here, I never thought of Reid as a great soloist.
He destroys me, we have similar gear nuttiness and I love a LOT of their material. It's the soloing in spots where it has always been a bit too crazy for their music in my mind.

What's the Gibson Flying V Adam Jones is playing that has the Dean-style headstock?? :idk

Looks like a Dean to me with a Gibson decal on it. Is Adam trolling Gibson??

He just has more Randyisms in his playing naturally, and obviously he was heavily influenced by him. Dime's technique is a bit out of Zakk's comfort zone, but he still manages well. But that tone in Pantera's set... :sofa
The spirit and intention of this "Pantera" band is great.
The actual execution, not so much.

Oddly enough; I have never listened to them with Duvall. Maybe a song or two at most? I do know he hold a lot of respect from AiC fans so you know he's legit.
Duvall is the real deal. We was the perfect choice to join AIC though no one could ever replace Layne. Check out his previous band Comes with the Fall - I saw them open for Jerry on his solo tour (when Rob Trujillo and Mike Bordin were touring with him) and he was doing back ups with Jerry for AIC songs then. That tour is probably what started them down the path of getting AIC back together.

DuVall is killer! Layne’s my favorite vocalist of all time with AIC being my favorite band and I’ve been nothing but thrilled with him being in the band. I was sold when I heard the first single, but once I got the album and heard this tune and had it me as hard as any AIC tune ever had previously I was at ease knowing the band was going to continue. And then he blew my mind live and has every time I’ve see them since.
