Interesting. I'm fat, crunch, MKIV. I don't need the gain of the Extreme mode.

Are you rolling back the volume on tweed for super clean stuff???
I'm always messing with my guitar volume and tone controls on any channel.
I use Fat if I want a pristine clean, Tweed is nice for hairy clean to edge of breakup.

Tweed is the one I'd like to be able to replicate with a pedal into fat mode.

Atm my amp is set for Tweed - Crunch - MKIV.

I do use the channel variable power settings and rectifier options, too.

Tweed = Tube Rectifier and 10W Class A.

Crunch = Solid State Rectifier and 45W.

MKIV = Solid State Rectifier and 90W with GEQ.

Still boggles my mind that they crammed this much differentiation in tone and
feel in one single amp chassis. Brilliant! :chef

Tonight at practice I took my Dual Recto and the Mark V. I wanted to try a few combos. The entire band thought that the Mark V sounded a gajillion times better than the Dual Recto. I did too. But it was worth trying out both. It is such a great amp, I genuinely really love it.

It's all of them Mids. :love

:rofl

oh snap! i have family out in paonia- youd better get in on it soon or ill have them pick it up for me 😄

Bro honestly please exercise these demons and remove temptation :rofl

Montrose is about 5hrs from me but a lovely part of the state…. Wouldn’t be the worst trek lol.

The “black shadow” in there is also a rebadged EVM as per the photos so that sweetens the deal even more

My uncle is also retired out in Ridgeway… even closer than paonia! Lol

sheeeit. i wish i could. thats a raging deal, and id honestly LOVE to have a 15 watt setting with a crunch channel and another evm. ridiculous. but also ridiculously redundant 😄 i need that like i need a third bunghole.

You’re telling me… have a III, IV, and V and a crab clone to boot…. But man a fully loaded III seems like a nice compliment to my absolute barebones III

OH.. i forgot to mention WRT dialing up the mids high- leave the treble shift OFF. its redundant- but its also a pretty different sound. i only like recording with the mid shift cause its kinda an easy button- but i dont usually use it.

Word, just checked and it looks like I currently have that shift activated. Need to get the III fired up again… likely going to roll it to its first gig in a couple weeks. That said, will still probably running it with the HX stomp Mesa geq model in the loop….. but that’s not to say I can’t still experiment with the mix knob lol

The Mark V combo I got and let my friend buy at cost went to him in Montrose :)

Nice!!!

I need another amp (especially mark) like I need a hole in my head but I will continue watching … this dudes had it listed for months and keeps dropping the price. I can see the used gear market being a little trickier on the western slope compared to Denver…

One of the more screaming deals I’ve gotten was a dirt cheap JVM half stack, dude was in Farmington, NM and we met half way in del Norte
