i know theres differences in the different iterations of early marks, but man... $4k is well beyond what id pay to realize them beyond my iib, and i dont really WANT AJFA tones under any circumstances.

User early mark pricing is brutal. Even a IIb with a GEQ is commanding close to $2k these days :sofa

Aren't the prices of OG 2C models pretty insane? So they might think that two RI for the price of one OG is a "real bargain". :rollsafe

To me there is no amp on the market that is worth that kind of money.

gotta agree. collector scum seem to be setting the market, and working musicians cant justify the prices for gear given what you get paid, if you do anyhow.

Supposedly to be limited to 200 units

Precisely right.
I saw someone say they got a quote between $6-7000 for it... which is pretty laughable. It's also not a "modded" amp according to them, it's specially built or some shit. The thing is that it doesn't appear to be switchable between + and ++.

I have a few Boogies. While I don’t care for Gibson, these are still my favorite amps.

I’ll get some better photos later. Here’s the Mark V in my living room for now.

Fuses arriving Wednesday :nails

Anyone know if 45 watt mode on the V uses inside or outside pairs? Would rather blow 2 power tubes than 4 if there’s a bigger issue at hand…

So bizarre. This is at least the third time this amp has been taken down and listed again. Each time the price has crept up (initial listing price a couple months ago was like $1600)

It's always the same pics, and part of town (although the gut shots are new on this one)

The thing thats strange is that the vocabulary and writing style of the ad have changed dramatically every time it goes back up. Can't discern if its really been flipped multiple times in a short span of time in the same area, or if the seller is just a bit unhinged lol

It was first listed the same day I was going to get my purple stripe. I aaaalmost called an audible given the GEQ, but even at its reasonable price still $700 more than what I was getting the purple for... then would have to factor in another $300 for a headshell conversion. Now the price is just stupid lol

Holy crap the tolex color and Mk III roped me in and I didn't even pay attention to the price! :wat:wat:wat

I think Mesa should reissue the III with a "Choose your own stripe!" option :bag
