Nah. That is IMHO how old school metal sounds so good with a third of the gain of modern metal.

Looking at the lunchbox and wishing they had a 50 watt version. So I can buy the DRect module because my Multiwatt won't fit into my man purse.

I think it is the module version of the JCM800 modified circuit they released at NAMMFor a second I was dreaming it was the Syn-50IR but it's clearly a module.

That one doesn't have an extra preamp tube though. It only has 2 x ECC83 and 1 x Phase Inverter Ecc83. Thing is the SYN units (Syn1, 2, etc) already have 1 ECC83 onboard.
I'd say it's a JVM instead.

If the 3-tube module is a JVM that is probably an insta-buy for me.
I did notice in the pic with 3 tubes the switch is in the middle position, which is the stock Marshall setting.
