Synergy Owners Thread

I played one with the gen 1 SLO module in it (direct using the built in IRs to a set of Neumann KH80 DSP monitors which frankly are rather revealing and can make the best modellers a bit sizzley and need taming) and for size and price it made a big impression on me.
I had that I feel me, my guitar and amp are all one moment which I didn’t expect.

The SLO 2 module going into my 4x12 sounds great, I want to pick up some more modules, the only one so far evryone says isn't a good example of what it's supposed to be (that I know of) is the Savage module but it's still a great high gain mod, but I am told it's not even close to a real Savage.

So far I have the Solo2, Savage, and the Pitbull.

I have not really tried to push the volume up a ton for more than a few seconds, I am sure the EL84's will fart out but for home playing I have zero need to be at the farting out volume. I'd buy the Syn 50 Head in a hearbeat if I had the need. Or the Syn 2 50 for stereo!

My current order of interest is:
Bogner Uber (hope to scratch an itch)
2CP
Drect
Fortin
VH4
Deliverance
6505
Ecstasy

Still slighly less than a brand new Uber or Special Edition Founders I keep telling myself.

Wicked tones by @troynababan here

I was pretty surprised by the VH4 module when I picked it up. The Herbert module is a bit disappointing and I'd heard a lot of folks pan the Diexel modules, in general, saying that Diezel stuff needs the power amp to do their "thing".... but I did not have any real expectations either because I've never played a full on Diezel amp.

So, I grabbed one just to give it a go at some point and since I didn't have any preconceived notions about what it should do, I really liked what it did do. :)

It sounds quite great with my Syn30 and the Syn2+PA rigs. It's definitely my fave of the two Diezel modules and a lot of fun.

I would look at the Powerball module - it is really versatile.
I had the SLO2 but sent it back as the powerball does everything the slo2 does but does it better.
Green channel can go from cleans to VH1 (if you put a boost in front of it)
Red channel is more 90’s VH and beyond

Well my replacement has arrived pristine with zero issues.
I picked up a V1 SLO module from eBay as one was there at a crazy good price of £220 (UK). I also got the Powerball new.
Both are quite fantastic. The V1 SLO is instant Ratt and Dokken without any faff. The Powerball is crazy versatile and I’m really surprised by how good the low gain blue channel is. The Red is gain with a dose of gain for good measure and remains articulate and has great clarity.

Yeah the v1 SLO module is GOATed. Absolutely nailed to perfection.

The Powerball is the fantastic, one of my favorites. It’s cover the entire gain spectrum really well and is just a lot of fun to riff out on.

I think the OG SLO was their best and still might even edge out the new version
Other ones that I would be interested in the BE DLX,
New Marshall Plexi , Recto and DR Z

I have the Uberschall, IICP, Ultra Lead, 6505, DRect, BE-Dlx, Powerball, and Killer Kali. I think they are all great for different reasons for high gain. I switch between them as my mood changes.

I always think about the Deliverance, but people say it is really close to the green channel on the Ultra-Lead, so not sure it would be worth the $$. I am not sure about the VH4 or Herbert, as they have never impressed me in videos. I also always consider grabbing a SLO, but not sure if it would overlap too much with the 6505.

I am curious to see if they will do some higher gain Marshall modules, like a DSL or JVM or something.
