I wonder if this is a replacement for the Synergy SYN-30... I only see demos of the SYN-30 available at Sweetwater.

Syn-30 was $1299... Maybe trading out the clean channel for the IR tech can keep the price close? Easier assembly with the metal chassis?

Even better if it has a line in so I could put a modeller through it, if I felt like it. XLR input would be even better again; but I unlikely I suppose, especially given that the Synergy stuff seems like the anti-modelling product

All the Synergy stuff have serial effects loops, so easy to use in this way.

Yep it basically a SYN 1 in metal shell with and IR loader like the Soldano/Freidman

Im more interested in that SYN50 head next to it, and whether they finally added the built in clean channel from the SYN30 to it.

Assuming the SYN30 lunchbox still has the built in clean channel, (DOA without it) I guess this is getting the Astro treatment with the built in load and Ir loader.

Here is my useless speculation as that what I do

Knobs on right are boost/ level same as Freidman IRX
Left is Depth Pres. Same as the IRX

The lights are the IR selection
The amp is 20-25 watt powered with 2 6v6 same Astro

That would eliminate any controls for the clean channel like the SYN30, which if removed, would basically tank its utility if you’re going to have to bring your own clean tones to the party externally. Unless you’re just looking for a direct recording solution and fine swapping modules constantly.
