Suhr Reactive Load Vs Fractal Audio X-Load

Suhr has a little more extreme impedance curve, like a bigger bass spike and treble lift. But it sounds really good and seems extremely rugged.

Mine's on its side because the feet don't clear the handle of my amp!

I had my son design me and 3-D print some spacers so that combined with the existing feet, gives me about 1" of clearance for this exact reason!

He used high-temperature filament. Still waiting on longer bolts from Amazon - I got some #6-32 7/8"

There we go

This is my Suhr Reactive Load.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My Reactive Load is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my tone.

My Reactive Load, without me, is useless.
Without my Reactive Load, I am tone-deaf.
I must use it true. I must record cleaner than my competitor, who is trying to outplay me.
I must outplay him before he outplays me. I will…

My Reactive Load and I know that what counts in music is not the noise we make, the tubes we fry, or the dials we turn. We know that it is the clarity that counts. We will be clear…

My Reactive Load is human, even as I am human, because it is my musical soul.
Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its response, its quirks, its settings, its harmonics, and its needs. I will keep my Reactive Load clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will…

Before God, I swear this creed. My Reactive Load and I are the defenders of great tone. We are the masters of signal. We are the saviors of recording.

So be it, until music is no more and silence reigns.
