SUB £100 GUITARS ARE GETTING BETTER

Ok for a kid to start on but no different from the previous generations of starter instruments.
You would not keep this beyond finding out that you are going to stick with it. These things have a place but they are certainly not better than the Yamaha 012 pacfica which has yet to be bettered.
Consistency is always the biggest problem and at this price it will vary from passable to completely unplayable.
The nut slot depth can make this kind of instrument a very unpleasant experience and add more than 30% to the cost to get it fixed.

I take your point, but compared to the 1990s Encore guitars, these are a huge step up for the price tag. As we all know, Guitars at this price point are not the "keeper" guitar if you can afford better, but as a player who only can afford up to around the £500 mark top whack, i appreciate these guitars.
