Pissing off Gibson fans with this...

And this is my Les Paul "replacement". It's a limited run PRS SE Zack Myers. They made them black for a short while. I refretted with 58118 jescar stainless. Thick neck, very acoustically Loud (unlike most Les Pauls) and 24.5 scale, which I prefer.

While a I agree Guitars are Important but that should be inline with the player a mediocre player as myself does need or benefit from 5K + guitars
so I'm pretty happy with sub 2k-1k (CDN Funds) guitars when initial quality is there and then set up properly

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of my favourite guitars, unfortunately gone, cost me only about 3 million dong in Vietnam. It was an esp ltd straight from the factory. To this day the best strat style guitar I've ever played.

There’s lots of quality guitars out there that look sound as good and better than Gibsons for Les money.
In some cases a lot Les money.
I doubt it pisses Gibson off though .
Same goes for Fender who make far to many different guitars .
The amount of Gibsons in UK online retailer sales at the moment is through the roof .
I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many .😳

I found this Limited only 200 made edition Pelham Blue HB DC- Junior when moving some guitars yesterday .
I bought this for my son back in July 2021 from Thomann .
It cost £169.00

My latest new over a grand Gibson isn’t over a grand better .😳

For some reason some people find that impossible to believe, they just can't get their head around the fact that a more affordable guitar (from Asia) is just as good, if not better than a Gibson. Anyway, I highly recommend looking into these!

On the other hand, it's entirely possible to review a Les Paul copy without mentioning Gibson. There's no need to turn a review into a Copy vs. Original comparison.

I like your style man, but this video (and the thread title) feels a bit like clickbait. ;)

That's sick!!!! I've only seen the blue ones previously. I know his sig has a chunkier neck, if I ever see one of these in the wild I'll definitely give it a shot. Does this have the piezos?

No piezos, but I've replaced the pickups to emg 57/66 (even though I probably preferred the originals lel). The only real negative with the guitar for me were the small stock frets.

The neck is a handful compared to some. Very comfortable for my hands. Can play for a long time before I feel tired. The guitar is acoustically loud but somehow sustains amazingly well, and it's also very light.

Basically, a lot to like. (Photo is after refret).

Bacchus makes a killer Les Paul copy also. The Duke line are amazing!

This. I touref the factory that makes these when I went to Japan a few years ago and there's a LOT of hands on work with their guitars. Awesome vibe.

I agree that Bacchus makes some great guitars!

I had a fantastic Bacchus Duke in dark oxblood with a wraparound bridge (can't seem to find one of my own photos at the moment, but here's a photo courtesy of the seller I bought it from back in 2008):

I also had a Bacchus Live Road gold top (again, here's a photo courtesy of the seller I bought it from (also) back in 2008):

Both were really great guitars I never should have sold. Especially the Duke - even though it felt less like a typical Les Paul than many other Les Paul-ish guitars I've had.

That said, one should be aware that Bacchus also makes cheaper lines with lower quality than these, which I'd rather avoid (i.e. the Universe series).
