Strymon teasing new pedal

I’m curious if it is indeed a Brig if it’s meant as a replacement of the standard form factor Brigadier.

Looks like you were right. I only just noticed that the OG Brigadier has been removed from the product list and now resides on the legacy / discontinued product support page:

https://www.strymon.net/support/discontinued-product-support/

Bukovac will probably buy up all the remaining Brigadiers that are out there in the wild.

Yep, it didn’t make sense to sell two analog delays within $40 of each other. ( Maybe they plan on releasing some V2 Uber Brigadier somewhere down the line?)

I wonder if the Brigadiers didn’t sell as much compared to the El Cap and Dig which are held in really high esteem. So, would make sense to refresh and shrink their analog delay offering at a cheaper price that will move more pedals.

I'm not sure that the Dig sells all that well either...? I mainly see the El Cap as far as small Strymon delays go.

I see the Dig on a heck of lot more boards than the Brigadier, though I’d agree the El Cap outpaces them both.

Either way it just didnt make sense for them to be competing against themselves with two analog delays in the same price bracket.

I’d bet sales played a part it in. They’ll sell a heck of a lot more Brigs than Brigadiers imo.

Dunno, I’ve seen quite a few, and I’ve got one. It’s THE 80’s rack delay in a box.
It’s so good, sounds friggin great and the easiest delay ever to dial in… so easy that I moved it on cus apparently I like a little “creative” tone dialing struggle with other pedals so I feel like I’m doing something :bag
