I've done w/d live, and dual mono/blending amps a lot, but never a w/d/w rig. If I were to play in a trio again I'd certainly consider it.

Stereo WDW is the way go if the space is right for it but I’d by no means ever gig that way. Way too much hassle for so little gain. I do WDW but it stays in my studio

I used stereo rig back in the 90‘s, Marshall JVM 800 and JCM 900, Rocktron Intellifex etc.
Today I‘m going full stereo with my Axe III and my In Ears and it‘s pure awesomeness.

I think the same thing applies to playing in stereo, especially if you can use not just stereo effects, but stereo amps. It's tough to go back.
