Probably use part of the proceeds for a HR Prime and a 100w tube head of some sort. It felt good to pull 7 amps out of storage, clean em up, test em and list em. Been putting it off for too long.

They're riddled with reliability issues. And some parts are no longer made. Buyer's beware.

Yeah they tend to overheat and end up with bad solder joints. The MIDI is also poorly designed and it's proprietary so if it breaks the MIDI is gone for good.
There are also some op amps in the output section that are no longer available.

I'd avoid this amp honestly.

That really sucks to hear that because I had planned to utilize the MIDI on my Helix to control it. For what the seller wants I am not sure I'd wanna chance it. if it were a retail shop with an extended warranty option then maybe or if he was only asking 500 I'd take the flier but he want's double that.

Great price in 2023! I'm sure it will move quickly. Didn't you say you're in NM? Almost would be tempting to make the drive.... but I'm way over my gear budget for the year already :LOL:
 
Mark III blue stripe is one of the best amplifiers ever made. What are you looking to replace it with? Those things are built like tanks and will outlive your children’s children.

I know but I am pretty much done with combos. I'm not sure what I will replace it with. I was hoping the prices on Mark V's will come down now the VII is out. maybe a Mark V 35 or 90 head. Been on a Marshall kick though. Not a fan of the JVM's. Maybe if I can find a Vintage Modern or a Jube. Possible Ceriatone or Splawn

I think Mark V (90) prices will go up once new stock is sold and they are not available new anywhere anymore.
