sOoN... again?

I was just thinking about biases the other day, while I was programming a MIDI footswitch for a friend. I was pressing the buttons with my fingers to test, and the term "poo switch" popped into my head, immediately followed by "capacitive footswitch".

As TOP taught us, one of these is sure to spread plague amongst electric guitarists and their loved ones; the other...? <crickets>
I'm still struggling with the capacitive switches. Helpful at times but annoying when you accidentally touch them :D

Yeah, they can make the editing process feel a little too delicate, which gives me a vaguely uneasy feeling. (Especially if I touch one with my forearm while I'm turning a knob. "What just changed?!")

Good that you can partially or completely disable them... but as soon as you do you realize that they add a lot of value.

On the Stomp; they got the kibosh immediately. Didn't care. On the Stadium; I'm trying to embrace this new era edit experience and leave them on. Jury is still out but they remain active. For now. :bag

I'm still thinking in terms of my "workflow" on QC, where I'm primarily looking at the signal path/ grid/ whatever 90% of the time (despite Digital Igloo's recommendations), where I would primarily use touchscreen elements for navigation, and probably disable the capacitive switches. But since I haven't actually tried a Stadium yet... who knows?

In Stadium land; they annoy me when I am playing barefoot. When they are up on the desk for editing if necessary; I have grown to like them.

Or a toe cheese sensor
