My son Jamie played with 30 Seconds to Mars last night at the Forum in LA. He usually plays guitar when he plays with them, but they had him on bass this time!

Someone sent him these pics - I think they're of the big video screens above the stage. I was told the show went well, but apparently there was no live stream of it (I tried to find one), so being several thousand miles away I missed it!

He's done shows, toured with them, played on, produced, and mixed several of their recordings. They've worked together/been pals ever since he first got to LA out of college. Several of the records went gold.

Ask me if I'm jealous. That would be 'yes'! :rofl

That's very cool, congrats!
I'll be honest though, I'm not familiar with this band's material, but I'm curious now. (y)
There's a lot of good material in their catalog. Jamie's worked with them on several albums and tours. It's great that they've stayed close and he gets to do these kinds of shows.

Jamie does lots of wide-ranging things in music and production, including being co-executive producer of stuff like Dave Chappelle's Midnight Miracle podcast series.

His band Partybaby was signed to Warner Brothers, and did neo-punk stuff like this; Jamie is on guitar and vocals; on lead guitar and co-writer is Noah Gersh, who was with Portugal The Man.

I love this stuff. But as you know, I'm biased. :rofl

That's awesome, you must be very proud! Talented family. :beer

Very cool, and absolutely great band. Must be extremely proud.

Thanks on his behalf guys! I really am excited about all the music and production stuff; he also has a 1 1/2 year old, and is a great husband and dad. He's one of the good guys, feet on the ground, not full of himself - you'd all like him.
