It may just be me but I’ve never heard a boost impart such a dramatic difference in tone. My Klon, OD’s and other boost don’t have near as much character. And to me at least, it’s distinctly different. I’m really surprised this isn’t making more waves here. Pick ratings like this are fairly rare at PG.

The $109 SVDS Boost seems to be the as the $299 Replica with the Input control moved to an internal trim pot.

I went ahead and ordered the Solodallas Storm as well. Offers the closest experience to their uber solution which is too expensive for me. Looks pretty flexible and I look forward to using this as my secret sauce for amps, pedals and modelers. My other such pedal is the Chellee Ponyboy v3 which is likewise sweet and just adds something to the tone that you surely miss when you turn it off. I think @newpedals has one too but I’m not sure exactly how she uses it. Anyway it’s $30 off at their site for $199 with no tax or shipping. Plus they threw in a free Solodallas cap… kinda cool. My friends have quite some pedals. A friend's dad has a collection of expensive pedals, but I feel shy asking him to let me try them when I visit him on holidays. I am scared that I will damage them in some way, since he runs them on different power supplies (upto 24v).

I am just a fangirl and addicted to hearing demos and interesting stuff about pedals. Don't own a klone, sorry.

I like how it sounds in the video, and I appreciate any fx builder offering something unique instead of another rehash of a Klon, Blues Driver, etc.

My favorite boost is the DCX Boost from Origin Effects which is based on the UA 610 preamp.

I also like that he placed the boost next to the Chroma Console on his board. I love that pedal. It's a super fun inspiration generator.
