Solar’s Buy One, Get One For Fiddy Dolla

Goddamit Drew :bonkAre there import fees or anything beyond the actual price on these?

I paid $60 for a fee to get mine a couple years ago.

Probably should have stated, if my singer doesn’t take me up on that deal, I’d do the same with anyone here!

The import fees to the US only kick in if it’s over either $800 or $900, cant remember which.

The deal seems to work so that you put the guitar you want in the cart, and can then choose from outlet S/T type guitars. The ones left at the time of writing were very basic S/T type guitars.

That's order total I assume. Do you know up front when you check out or is it an extra $200 tacked on after the fact?

No - it’s a bonus surprise. More like a hostage negotiation that you can’t win. “Give us more money or we send your guitar to UPS storage purgatory”.
Best scenario would be a couple of local buds decide to go in on it and say a prayer. To :satan of course

There’s been a few Solars out there with cracked fingerboards and the Solar logo lifting off the headstock. However, like any good internet/bad guitar experience, it quickly became far bigger of a thing on the internet than any actual evidence had shown. To date I’ve only seen 3 different guitars with cracked boards, but if you check the Solar thread at Sevenstring, you’d swear only every 5 guitars coming off the line DIDN’T have cracked fingerboards.

My E-type was a factory second and the quality of it indicates they know how to make a killer guitar, I’ve yet to know of any company that puts out stupid good quality as a fluke.

Ive personally owned like 7 or 8 Solars and still have 4 of them, one of which Ive had for about 5 years.

Ive also owned 2 guitars with cracked fretboards. 1 Schecter and 1 Jackson.

I would be all over this if it didn’t have a reverse headstock

I want one of these in black REALLY badly. Not overly keen on the inlay at the 12th fret, while I have no problems with the regular Solar inlay there. :rofl I just love block inlays and ebony fingerboards and a Solar w/ block inlays is as close to a Custom Shop Explorer as I’ll ever get!

There's a 7 string in that same body style in Orange that is just perfection for caveman riffs. No floyd to get pissed about; just pure knuckledragger fury with that toxic orange finish. Ugh!
