Show your 7s

My Jackson DK Pro Modern HT7.
Incredibly comfortable neck, Fishman Classics and gorgeous finish. Absolutely love this guitar.

Solar A2.7 Canibalismo. Not as sweet as the Jackson, but I went thru 5 or 6 other 7s looking for a “partner” for the Jackson when recording and this one is it. Tried ESP, LTD, Schecter, Ibanez, and a few other Jacksons and another Solar, but this was the winner in feel/playability. Swapped the Solar Duncan pup with a Nazgul.

Both of these were used on the Red Vinter demo.

Have you tried a 6-string Nazgul pickup? I’m curious how much of a difference there is between the 6 and 7.

I love the 6 in my E-type. I have some PAF7’s I had planned on putting in my 7620, but for everything I do with a 7, I’m getting more curious about the Nazgul.

Yes. The Naz shines in lower tunings, so if you’re going with a 6 downtuned, it’s awesome. If you’re staying in D/E std range, I prefer other pups.

My KM7 has the Naz/Sent combo. It's pretty damn good.

Still might change to BKP Aftermath though.
I like the pickups in my Damien 7 (I GAS for one of the older KM7 models from time to time) they’re overseas versions of their apocalypse series. I’ve always wanted to throw in a Naz/Sent set though - if you wanna sell your set one day, let me know 😂

Sure.

Do it, do it now! :clint

7's are so beneficial, everyone should have at least one! It'll expand your thinking and make 6's feel tiny, which will help you, too!
Whenever I go from my 26.5” 7 to any of my 6’s it feels like I chose easy mode lol. Doubly so if I go from playing bass for a week to guitar - “wtf are these little noodles??”

Couldn't agree more. At the start I had no idea that this would be a huge side benefit!

So, you get more room between frets on longer scale 7's - which is a benefit for me. Then, your fingers have to move less and your eyes just SEE less on a 6, more benefit!

Hell, I may get a 3rd 7. Yes, I'm ill.

Heres a couple closer shots of the RGs:

And here's a before and after of the S7 with the mods I made to it:

Basically abalone binding or brass hardware, but not both. Too gaudy like that. I like the black and silver hardware better. The stock Ibby bridge was fine, but I really like the Hipshot.
