Yeah, I think so, too. Possibly too embarrassing for Fender.
Anyway, that compressor is great, too bad I can't integrate it the way I like on my big board anymore.

Amazingly enough, it's not even that!
Back when I was looking for that very kind of EQ, there's been 3 of them available and because of some friend owning one already, I could compare the three directly (I ordered the other two from Musicstore and Thomann). The Mooer (I think it was Mooer) of my friend was €49, the Fame (Musicstore inhouse brand) was €39 and the Fender was €29. So it's even been the cheapest. They're all 100% the same pedal.
And I think it's been the same with this compressor, the original asking price for the Mooer was a little higher.

It’s Mooer, I have that version. Used it a couple of times as a “global Eq” for one side of a stereo setup.

Now consider it as a “first pedal” on a hybrid board, to accomodate/compensate for different guitars / outputs.

Well, what's crap with the EQ is the fader's "baseline" or whatever you may call it. They're doing close to nothing on 3/4 of their travel range and then all of a sudden you can hardly control them anymore. As opposed to, say, the GE-7 where the faders act smooth and evenly throughout their entire travel range - I own one as well, the downside being that it's a lot bigger and that the master volume has that notch in middle position, whereas the Fender EQ has a smooth volume knob. I should actually consider throwing it off the small board and just add a passive volume knob instead, because that's what I'm really only using it for (I might've touched the frequency faders 1-2 times ever since I slapped that board together).

If you are using it “post everything” passive should be fine.

I’m aiming to use it as an “input trim” for a new board im setting up, so “presets” work with different guitars…so ill have to check it for “tonesuck”.
Ussually i do that with a gain block in digital machines…but this one is gonna be “hybrid”.

I have once been doing just that, but I had a friend solder me a buffer (today I'd possibly be able to do it myself, it's as easy a circuit as it gets) allowing for both cuts and boosts. Unfortunately it somehow got lost somewhere.

Hell no, not in a preset/scenes based rig.
I want predictable results, no surprises in amounts of gain when I step on a switch.

I’m really liking this drive pedal setup.

The ODR-1 Anniversary is so good! (and so much better than the standard model) with the GE-7 boosting it I could probably do everything just with that.

Morning Glory is filling in EOB tones for chimey strumming. I love that thing it does on the top end.

Usually I just use Rats for lower gain overdrive, but right now I’m using the Rattler as sort of a pseudo-fuzz at higher gain and it’s great.

Eventually I’m going to need a tighter, more amp like high gain pedal

Side note: Dual footswitches on regular size enclosures are the worst! Stop doing this pedal companies

EQ and/or cleanboost in front of a drive pedal: turns that drive pedal into a chameleon!

I would love a preset based EQ, I think the problem is nobody has made the right one yet.

The Boss EQ-200 would be perfect if the sliders were motorized and moved to where they were saved, but without that it’s a PITA to tweak.

The Source Audio EQ2 would be great if it had a second footswitch like the Boss.

Someone needs to make one that is a combination of those two

Hmm, I’ve had a couple of them over the years and I haven’t had any problems with noise.

It does a thing. I don’t find it super versatile. I don’t like the high gain mode, and I don’t think it boosts or stacks especially well, but that thing it does is a really great sound that I love. It has this chime and sparkle it adds to the top end that sounds amazing for things like jangly chords

A new but old arrival! Vick Audio Tree of Life.
Funny story... ill keep it short. This pedal once was mine back in 2015 or something and it was my first "better" drive along with the OD3. When Stomp came around, the bassist in the band i was in inherited the pedal, and its been with him until now. He moved far away years back and we haven't been able to met up until last weekend when he was around to see relatives. He stopped by and dropped of the pedal.
Such a cool surprise!

Its a decent pedal i guess... it goes from clean to low gain to full distortion it seems, has a mild low mid hump and low cut at low gain but past 12 o'clock distortion start to kick in and there's plenty of lows and it flatten outs the mids. Plenty saturation and sag there. Cant decide what i like the most, but so far keeping it on low gain is fine and pairing that with the Carcosa turns them both into a wild distortion. Chugga chugg with the Carcosas spitting and nastiness. Well... its mine again now... so ill keep it!
