On classifieds today I saw a MT2 for 50€ (Wanted 59). It has a shitty reputation, but let's see.
It’s a musical instrument. Shitty rep doesn’t apply to our creative minds.View attachment 44417

I'd really wish I was this strong and independent of other people's opinions, but... I am not. It’s a musical instrument. Shitty rep doesn’t apply to our creative minds.

My faith in our forum and our people is hereby validated! When no one can do it, we fucking can!!!!But... can people not use the EQ? Every shit sound I heard online (YT) was shit, bc the highs were so high. Sounded like a can of bees. I dial back the highs on mine and suddenly it sounds acceptable. Same with the Mids. Most of the time now I left the mids at noon and just fiddled with the Mid Freq to get that spot between "cutting" and "nasty". Also liked the bass pot. For playing on my own it gives a nice "ooomph". Also while it isn't a sweet cruncher it can produce some less distorted sounds for modern rock as well. Just tame the gain on the MT2.
I really think people are stupid.
Shower thought: how are you supposed to transport an expandable pedalboard? Do they come with different-size bags, or are they only meant for bedroom warriors after all?
As an owner of an expandable pedalboard, I’d say it’s mainly for home use. I’d get something else with a bag or case if gigging.Shower thought: how are you supposed to transport an expandable pedalboard? Do they come with different-size bags, or are they only meant for bedroom warriors after all?
I'd rather have (and have) several boards instead.
Mumbai, of all places??? Damn...Fwiw, this is the small board (don't think I posted this incarnation of it yet):

- The Hotone Soulpress II (Wah/Vol) isn't always with me, depends on the gig.
- The Hustle Drive (OCD clone) sometimes gets exchanged in favour of something else.
- Below is a Harley Benton multiout PSU (they're excellent IMO), obviously powering everything with some spare outs already cabled up, plus a DI box.
- Boost and drive are sitting in the Stomp's loop, outout goes to DI box, XLR to FOH, through to that lame-ish mini EQ which I'm mainly using as a dedicated monitor volume control (also does an ok-ish job in case I may need a little bass or treble cut, otherwise it sucks, but it's small, so there).
- The Ampero switch is usually controlling tap/tuner and next/previous patch for those occasions when I need 2 patches (yes, I usually never switch patches per gig, not even with this small board).
- There's also a WIDI MIDI Jack below, should I need some extra controlling options for the Stomp, which is then done wirelessly via tablet/phone running TouchOSC. Actually an excellent thing but I didn't need it too often so far.
The first incarnation of this board was set up because I had a gig in Mumbai and needed something to fit into my suitcase. The board itself was a leftover from my previous board that coincidentally fitted things just fine. I thought I'd not use it much after that, but it turned out quite differently, it's now become a stable, my main board for some duo/trio things and I even played some "full" gigs with it already.
Goes to show that you really never should sell a Stomp - which has now served me just fine in a plethora of situations, even if there's some more or less serious shortcomings, but it's just an amazing piece of kit overall.

Btw, that board looks pretty capable for the small size
That’s one damn futuristic trumpet right there!View attachment 45184

I’m toying with the idea if a sy-1 could be an addition to my post-rock ramblings. Watched a bunch of Perry Frank vids YT on it and there’s surely interesting things there. But it’s kinda the last thing in my pedal plans that may or may not come to realization. The dual xlr module output and power module is nice!
