Anyone interested in adding MIDI to your board, seriously consider using these CME cables
They're excellent but actually stick out a bit more than some other flat MIDI cables.

Where I'm at right now. But I'm honestly wondering if I even want or need the VP4 right now.... the other pedals are so fucking good....
I actually have these, (5 pin to 5 pin), exact ones, but will be in need of the 5 pin to 1/4" midi, pretty soon, so thanks for the reminder. :)Anyone interested in adding MIDI to your board, seriously consider using these CME cables

They run about $20 for a 4 pack, and are extremely easy to connect and route with the least amount of clearance/proximity issues of pedalboard-friendly cables costing 5 times the price.

Maybe, but the position of the cable is @ 45° (as opposed to 90°) relative to the top/bottom, and it's relatively thin, so there is no issue with blocking ports to the right or left. They're excellent but actually stick out a bit more than some other flat MIDI cables.

Top board is my band mates!!Nice!!!!
Boards look swell, are they both yours, or is the other by a band colleague?
Personally, I'd hold onto that VP4, since there's probably loads of unconventional stuff that it'll do if needed - also thinking of assignment and switching options, etc.
What's that silver DIY-looking pedal on the upper left board, with a toggle and three knobs?
How is the Oct Psi? Still want that one \m/Top board is my band mates!!
I think the silver pedal is a tubescreamer, but not 100% sure.
The VP4 is sick. It really is. But so is everything else I have!!
The box underneath the headphones is a cheapo amp that I only use for headphones. I have a bluetooth transmitter in the amp (lol on calling that little thing an amp!) going to bluetooth headphones. I have transmitter on my guitar and receiver into the board. Just the power supply wire so I can transport it easily from the house to the deck outside where I practice. What are you using to make all that headphone compatible? I mean, there's no amp/cab sims.

I haven’t put a pedal board together for years but figured I’d get something together. Here’s what I came up with tonight.

I’ve got to tidy up the wiring but I’ll probably change it a bunch of times over the next week or so.

The smallest MIDI connectors I've found are the Rockboard ones.
There's the "Flax" model which allows you to bend the cable up or down or at an angle. The flex part tends to break over time though even if you don't actually move it.
I wish I had known CME offered longer cables, those would have been perfect for my board. I only knew about the very short ones meant for the WIDI Jack.
The one control midi cable solves that. You can change orientation on both ends. But it isn’t as flat though.
