Wow. Isn't the Maxon 808, the OG tubescreamer? I think it has true bypass though.
Since you have both, an SD1 and the Maxon, how do you use them? They sound similar but if it's like a reissue 808 which I had tried, SD1 will have more gain and output. Maybe I don't remember it right.
