Wow. Isn't the Maxon 808, the OG tubescreamer? I think it has true bypass though.

Since you have both, an SD1 and the Maxon, how do you use them? They sound similar but if it's like a reissue 808 which I had tried, SD1 will have more gain and output. Maybe I don't remember it right.

DM 101 is tasty, from the demos I have seen.

It's not a simple analog delay, unlike something like a Carbon copy or a DM-2W.

It has a lot of BBD chips controlled by a digital "CPU" brain. It must sound wonderful :)

They do slightly different things. The SD1 actually rolls off more low end then a TS, which can be good with some amps or too much on others. Some amps need the lower mid focus of the TS, but on others it gets too mid-mushy. The SD1 pushes a different mid band. So I keep them both on the board so it will work with whatever amp I’m using. On 95% of amps one or the other will work. I keep an OCD and Klon Klone handy for the others.

Dude you rock. That friggin TRS “situation” on the Rockman had me triggered, but I hadn’t stopped to find a better adapter/cable.

I’ve only needed to make a few changes to this board since putting it together in 2019. It does what I need it to do, and I’m happy with what’s there.

Nonetheless, I’m clearly In need of psychoanalysis to resolve certain...shall we say... obsessive-compulsive issues.

Quite a wad of cash for a one-effect-at-a-time pedal. I know the sounds are professional and absolutely pristine, but it seems overpriced, also considering that there's "premium" algos that you'll only get when you upgrade or buy the MAX version.

On another note, Eventide was the company that prohibited @Tom Von Kramm naming one of his creations (I'm 100% sure it was a fuzz) "Rose" because of their upcoming "Rose" delay.

Fuck Eventide. $900 for two algorithms at a time. "Yeah, but an algorithm can have more than one effect at a time!" Swell, more than one effect at a time I may or may not want.

Because of the work I do, I need to be ready to handle client requests for certain things during a session.

When I'm just doing my own thing, I usually use one for micro pitch (the old H3000 thing used on a ton of records) or modulation, like rotary or wah, and the other for delay or reverb.
