SHOW OFF YOUR MUSIC SPACE?

Wow, most of you guys are organized. I'm all over the place, but I still get it done.

That’s how creativity looks like in my opinion. And it looks like things are actually used :)
There’s so much “perfectionism” on the webs that is meant to display something that is irrelevant in the real context of what things is really about.

Of course, some (like me) has it built in that everything should be in its place, sterile, clean and so on. I get stressed when there are things lying around. Cable on the floor? A piece of paper or note lying on the desk? Nope… that’s chaos for me. :rofl

yo! After a weekend, two more days painting and putting everything back. Finally the room feels roughly ready for guitar stuff. There’s more decoration left to do. A few absorbers maybe on the most empty walls. The room won’t be loud though. At most I’ll maybe use 4” near field desk monitors, but it will be mostly headphones.

I've been wanting to get a vibey area in the back of my home office / gear space for a while. Grabbed a nice big rug a few weeks ago and yesterday found a really clean loveseat on Facebook. Yes I have some sticky tape panels on it to try and train the cat to NOT scratch it to hell.

Cleaning all morning and rearranged, so now I've got a screen free area to play guitar that's currently all analog and tube. Put a bluetooth speaker on there so I can stream music or bust out the iPad to work through Truefire courses.

At some point I want to replace the linoleum floors with the same high quality laminate flooring as the rest of my basement. And next year I'm going to redo my acoustic panels because I didn't like how they turned out...I might cut some in half so I can treat the upper parts of my walls.

Between the panels, couch, rug, and other stuff, the room is getting to be way more manageable in terms of echo.

Next up, I'm going to clean up my desk and cable management, so hopefully more pictures when that's finished tomorrow, along with my current guitars and storage spaces.

Awesome colours and love those lamps too!

Thanks!

Honestly I love the color of the orange amp/cab against the blue walls. I think I want to redo the panels with a dark charcoal or some interesting pattern fabric. Just to break it up.

I've got four floor lamps in here because there's no light switch. Smart bulbs in the lamps hooked up to Alex so I can turn the lights on/off and dim or change color by voice command. Problem is they often stop working after a year.

Here's my humble room, in a transitional stage. Not the biggest room but it serves its purposes.
There's more to organize and to do some wall treatment here and there. My plan is to have another tabletop area on the right side wall, add some shelving in various spots too. Monitoring is still not hooked up and I'll need to do some slight rearranging around the desk to make it work well. Not shown is a walk-in closet totally soundproofed, but with a wood floor. I have various speaker cabs and other amps in there. A great place to mic up that keeps a lot of volume in when the door is closed.

Sorry for the crappy pano photo!

Is that a reel to reel machine behind the Vox amp ?
