Seeing Testament tonight.

Not sure on the Metal church, wasn't into them at all. Ya 1st 2 Testament albums got heavy rotation cranking the metal on cassettes then CD's
Album The Dark by Metal Church was pretty kick ass!
Honestly though, I guess not enough ass kicking for me to go further into their catlogue.

I guess if I had iTunes back then, I would have had plenty more albums!

Your exactly right, back then you heard a sample and judged the band by that and then you pass on all album purchases if you don't like what you hear because you couldn't really sample em

The Dark was my favorite but the one before that (self titled) was highly regarded. I liked the singer after that Mike Howe but he was nowhere near David Wayne, imo. If you dig that sort of Accpet/Gillain at his screechiest in the best of ways sort of vibe \m/

Is Skolnick playing with them? He is a FANTASTIC jazz guitar player. Not sure how known that is. Quite an eccentric individual to say the least.

Testament is criminally over looked .... Skolnick is way beyond Hemett, as guitar player !!!!
When it came to Thrash, at least for me ....it was Early pre Load Metallica, Testament and Pantera.
