It's pretty simple, and I'm only replying because the child porn label gets stuck to a lot of folks these days. Some of them 100% justifiably, and may they be convicted and jailed along with nothing but very large fathers. It's just not warranted in Reubens' case. His house was searched and they found literally thousands of retro erotic books, paintings, magazines, etc. The guy was a serious collector of the stuff. Once the prosecutor reviewed the materials they dropped the child porn charges and he plead guilty to a minor obscenity offense.

Funny, something just popped into my head which may be connected. Around that time Reubens played a comic book store owner on an episode of ELR. He had lots of rare stuff and made Ray jump through crazy hoops to get the one card his daughter wanted.
