Reverb pedals?

So switching it back to bypass and moving it around honestly didn’t make a difference that I immediately hear. My BOSS buffer was modded when I sent it to Analogman, it’s not noisy.

Sounds good to my ears, but the knob way low sounds funny to my eyes! :idk

I’m noticing I’m not complaining about the drive before the reverb.
I put the reverb back to where it was, but left in bypass.

I just pulled the trigger on a Boss RV-6 Reverb pedal. I have a sense that it can improve my reverb situation from what Guitar Rig 7 has and also be more portable. It's got a bit of a delay mode too. I believe the Boss RV-2 was what was around from my Dad in the 80's and it was legit for it's time.

I generally just use the reverb on my amp except when i use a noise gate in the loop of my stupid DSL40C whose stupid reverb is before the stupid loop so the noise gate cuts off the trails. Then I just use a TC HOF mini with a plate reverb that i tweaked in TonePrint.

Don't know if you wanna use modulated reverb. In that case, try a RV-5.

RV-6's delay mode sounds like a generic reverb + digital delay and you can't control all the parametres involved. But if you forget to bring your delay pedal to a gig, this mode will work.

EHX Oceans 11 even has tap tempo for its Reverb+delay mode. But for all the algos to function properly, it needs its own wall wart. Also the Boss Reverb algos seem better.

I had tried both DD-8 and RV-6 when I had thought of spending less on a new guitar and buying more effects. I did the opposite.

Tom Bukovac says "Flint does not sound like my huge $1600 tube reverb box" which is not exactly a fair comparison. While the spring reverb on the Flint is its weakest part, it's still solid and good sounding IMO.

Personally I don't take tone tips from Tom, he's a great player, but showing off pedals on smartphone videos is not exactly giving me anything worthwhile.

If only there was somewhere you could hear his playing outside of those smartphone videos… :grin
