Just like the Privates that used to strip screws on the helicopter![]()
Nothing against Privates, just that it was always a Private lol - I was a Private before I moved up and learned/was hazed enough lolI am still a Private. On occasion.
It happens if you use the wrong bit and/or get frsutrated
and put the hammer down. I have learned to never strip
a screw going in, because you ain't getting it out. Retreat,
reseat, and start over.![]()
Sort of. The part of the head that gets rounded going in, doesn't affect the edges you need intact to get it out, if you only slightly fucked it up.I am still a Private. On occasion.

Screws are made from steel that's generally a lot harder than the bits we buy. You need the best bits available to drill out a screw.I did want advice on how to get the screws out Not how to pull the back off when the screws are out.
Those bloody screws are still in.
I don’t know what they are made of ? but my metal drill bits just get hot and smoke starts coming from where the screw is sitting .

A better choice would've been to use a dremel, and cut a slot across the head, then use a BFS (big fucking screwdriver) to break it loose. Or even better, an impact driver that you strike with a hammer. But that's one of those tools you buy once, then use only a few times in your entire life, unless you work with old cars and such.
I’d bet that’s a cleverly placed photo inside. That’s what I’d do if it were m… wait. Uh, nice pic glad you don’t have to open it after all.I did want advice on how to get the screws out Not how to pull the back off when the screws are out.
