RedSeven D100PRE - IT'S BACK!

Which is your favorite of astro, skill or duality? I had those 3 exact options and went for duality50.

Jebus..... if there was a fire I guess the first one I'd grab would be the D50.
Not that it wins any tone shootout, but it'd be the hardest to replace - all things considered.

Anyone remember this? Had one years ago and have no clue what became of it.
Designed by James Brown of Peavey/EVH fame.

What a brilliant little box that could improve just about anything you put through it.
I have to find another one.

@JerEvil should note I'm judging everything in my volume restricted apt. I never exceed 75dB. :facepalm

Those are hard to find but GUP Tech makes a similar pedal. I've heard it called a "clone" but I don't know if that's accurate.

Yeah I dunno. It’s pretty stellar in my setup but not everything works for everyone.

Recently replaced my Warehouse Creamback 65 watt with a Celestion Greenback 25 watt and immediately noticed I could turn the treble and presence up higher on everything. Decided to retry the PRE and *eureka!* it's no longer too crispy.

I'm thinking the Creamback may have developed an issue because spiky ice picks started creeping into everything.

Rad!!!!!
Ain’t no ‘loans over tones” with that company.

So are these amps like brighter Bogner’s?
I hear this weird sorta upper mid/top artifact
with their amps, kinda like Bogner’s have oppositely.
Well, that weird mid/mid to top thing is also in the new Bogner 45.
You can hear it

D100PRE - basically the 100 watt Duality preamp.
Been wanting to score a modern all tube pre-amp and the price on this was only $1,299 a couple days back.
Based on the quality and bang for the buck with the head it was a no brainer.

Holy schiznit! Thing is built like a tank and absolutely no skimping in the glass dept.

No bad sounds in any channel. The signal from the box is pretty hot though. Even the -10dB
padded out is loud enough that I had to put a JHS black box in line to tame it even more.

Considering getting a passive DI box and doing it right.

* Price of the PRE has gone up $200 since 2 days ago so I saved a little over 15%. (y)
Have you used the Midi recallable function yet? So you can go from clean to high gain at a midi switch? Do the knobs move are they rotary encoders or?

Interesting. I got one recently as well and dig it quite a bit.

I do agree though, the Brite needs to be for any decent sounds. What are you powering it with? I’m currently using the KSR PA-50 and VHT 2/90/2
