More likely the issue is my presets were tweaked with the PowerCab tilted back roughly 40 degrees (beaming and reduced ground coupling) so they are attenuated in the upper registers and boosted down low.

I agree with you that for "FRFR" there is no speaker break-in voodoo.

Increasing the input signal (i.e. proper gain staging) makes a huge difference.

Plugged into the Helix floor via XLR and maxed the big output dial (unity gain) and the MF10s sounded glorious

Went back to the Fractal and pushed the output1 level and all the high end sparkle I was missing returned.
