PRS SE NF53

Radius and fret size is very important, more than the neck size imo. Also the fret end bevel on budget guitars can be a huge deal breaker because the only solution is a refret. This guitar stands a good chance of being basically ok though because of the simple hardware.

In fairness, the Myles Kennedy sig and the NF53 (core and se) are distinct but similar models
In looking at them; you are correct! I KNOW i saw a natural ash white tinged model in Nashville or Chicago in my travels these last few months but I am not seeing one with a grain like the OP in the SW listing for the Myles sig. The pickguard is different as well as the pickups too.

Have I ever mentioned PRS has the most confusing f***ing model differentiation ever? Maybe only Ibanez with their AX37456FR1000 naming conventions are worse.

This has my attention.... I was actually just looking at used US models the other day as I've had a GAS flareup for one of these again.

Looks like they're retailing for $979. I'm tempted to jump on one but I have mixed feelings on SE stuff (yes I know they're good)

I don't love the pickguard shape on the SEs but I kinda dig it on the white. I'll have a lot to think about lol

I picked up a DGT SE awhile back and it's pretty much flawless, but also kind of bland. Plays great.
Makes sound. Does all the things.

If anything I have found the SEs kind of indistinct in the personality department. The NF53 certainly solves that,
at least based on how it looks. It oozes "personality."

My perception on most SEs I've tried is that they're nice guitars but more like corteks that look like PRS... which is what they are lol.

I liked the SE silver sky I owned, but it only stuck around for like 6 months. Also developed some fret sprout in that time

Fret sprout is not a manufacturer defect. It’s more about the climate in your area compared to the equilibrium in the wood. It occurs more when wood is not dried naturally for as long after the initial kiln drying before use. But for instance in the UK it’s not a common problem because of our climate even on the models you all moan about.🤣

I mean, I've never had that happen to any of my other guitars ever, so I'll concur, not a "manufacturer defect" but the wood was not dried as dutifully as any others that have crossed my path
