PRS SE NF53

Back in May I wanted to pick up a PRS SE DGT for my birthday, so bought one from Amazon. It arrived and it was ok, tones and playability OK but not particularly inspiring, kinda stiff, I put 9 1/2 - 44 set on it, did a quick setup, and it was still stiff. so back it went. Didn't float my boat, no connection or chemistry.
That's too bad - I love mine - the harmonics coming out of it where just right my alley - I even liked the baseball bat neck.

Whilst browsing on Amazon I had spotted some SE NF3 in metallic orange, was intrigued, and bought one. Straight out of the box, stock strings and setup, it was still in tune. and I LOVED it!! I put the 9 1/2 set on there and it plays like BUTTAH! The satin neck is another thing I loved about it, and whammy works well, stays in tune fairly well even when I become a little aggressive with it. And I love the pickups, frankly I was expecting some crappy sounding pups but boy was I surprised - they sound great! I'm a big P-90 fan and these have definite P-90 tonality, with pretty good midrange, but still have some high end glass a la single coils. IMHO very well balanced.
That orange one is on my wish list too.

Same! I just got these 2 Sunday in a trade with local shop.

2025 Paul Reed Smith SE Exotic DGT Laurel Burl McCarty Tobacco Burst - 2025 Paul Reed Smith SE Exotic McCarty 594 Laurel Burl Vintage Sunburst.

Got these yesterday in a guitar trade with a local store.

The DGT: "Only 1,000 of these instruments will be made for 2025."

The 594: "Only 500 of these instruments will be made for 2025."

The DGT is probably one of my favorite PRS guitars or guitars in general that I have played! Small tightening to the truss rod and she was ready to go and plays and sounds and looks amazing! :D

The 594 on the other hand left me a little disappointed for a first impression. There's was small wiring issue messed up somewhere that wouldn't allow me to activate the bridge pickup when the 3-way toggle is in bridge position. The weird thing also was if you turn down the volume knob for the neck pickup like a notch or two while still in bridge position on 3-way toggle, then the bridge pickup worked lol. That knob shouldn't be working for the bridge pickup haha. A friend fixed it for me today. Was a simple wire that was hanging off and touching another lug of the 3-way switch causing some issue and he removed that wire and it worked normal now. The action was horrible but I just got it set where I like it and playing and sounding great now!

I now have 5 prs se guitars and once the prs se nf53 tele comes then it'll be 6 :D

Can anyone hear a difference and guess which is which?

PRS SE NF53 TELE and FENDER MIJ TRADITIONAL 60s TELE. Both on the bridge pickup. Volume and tone all the way up.

Using fractal fm9. No noise gate. Using Friedman HBE V3 amp/cab and some stereo tape delay for a slight slap back. Direct recording into reaper daw.

I am aware that maybe a better comparison would be clean compared to using some gain like in this clip, but it's nice to see if anyone can guess when it's covered up with some gain too.

I've STILL got that DGT coming. Fucking dildo of a rep canceled all of our orders, so we had to go through and redo everything with the new guy.
