It seemed hit and miss, the loop on the V1 I had was fine, no hum.Wonder if they fixed the FX Loop...
I disagree, it was not possiblleto get that kind of Marshally tone he gets around 2:09, and the V1 didn't clean up nicely with the guitar volume at all like he shows in the video. At 3:21 he's back on the hi-gain voicing and the difference is stark.2. The channel has the same voicing, (which does NOT sound like classic crunch), so it just sounds like you turned the gain knob down, which you could do with V1
I stand corrected, thank you sir. I think I was watching the actual PRS vid earlier, which does NOT sound as good as the one in this threadI disagree, it was not possiblleto get that kind of Marshally tone he gets around 2:09, and the V1 didn't clean up nicely with the guitar volume at all like he shows in the video. And at 4:31 he shows the range of the overdrive, getting super nice crunchy cleans, 100% impossible on the V1's lead channel.
Yeah the videos from PRS pretty much always sounds like garbageI stand corrected, thank you sir. I think I was watching the actual PRS vid earlier, which does NOT sound as good as the one in this thread![]()
FWIW; Zachs tone is always consistently great AND he picks great songs to demo with for my tastes.
"Let's do Deftones!! Let's do Opeth! Let's do Mastodon! Let's do Limp Bizkit!"Yeah, always good to hide your wallet before watching a video from Zach. Best amp demoer in the game imo.
Zach and Blake Mansfield definitely in the top 2Yeah, always good to hide your wallet before watching a video from Zach. Best amp demoer in the game imo.
It actually rates much closer to 30w. These things are loud AF. Plenty of volume to play a high volume show with.i dont really know what id do with a 15w amp. wouldnt work at shows. i dont play tube amps at home.
im sure theres a market and they will sell a bunch but its a no for me.
Using the "overdrive" on the lead channels removes two gain stages, and as per the video you can hear it changes the voicing quite a bit. You definitely can't get there by just turning the gain pot down.It actually rates much closer to 30w. These things are loud AF. Plenty of volume to play a high volume show with.
That said, I don't really get the update on this. Doesn't sound like there's more gain on the clean channel, so no more versatility there and PRS is calling the push/pull on the lead channel a "gain reduction" control, with no voicing change. If that's the case, and you can't footswitch it... what's the point, when you can just turn the gain down?? FWIW, my MT15 was super quiet, so I've always been confused with the reports on that.
The new Archon Classic, however... looks kinda awesome.
