This is a real kick in the balls for people who have thrown down cash for these reissues.

Mesa has a long history of taking care of their customers on circuit errors. At least it’s a simple fix that doesn’t involve having to lift the board. I’d be tempted to yank those snubber caps while in there.

Fuck shitson for not telling the customers the truth and changing the story, and fuck them once more for modifying the preamp with plenty of snubber caps thus changing the sound and still calling it a faithful reissue.

I feel like nobody has any cash, I get lowballers and people wanting to trade expnsive cats for a JP2C, the last offer was a Saint Bernard puppy for the Recto.

Macro-level, without seeing industry balance sheets and sales numbers, it seems there's just not much of a market for a $3500 rectifier variant. The Recto amps are not that far apart from each other, variant to variant, and they all do the recto thing. So if I can get a Roadster for $1400, a 3 channel DR for $1600, a 2 channel DR or a MW DR for around $1900, why pay double for the reissue? It looks to me like the Mint/Excellent/New market for these amps is actually $2500, not $3500.

This is not the price of specific people that "have to sell" - all of the recent sales are $2500ish. That's any sales situation, not just the "have to sell" folks.
