It's by testing longer that you discover what you don't want -- or do want. Everybody knows that

Variations of what technique? What kinds of things were you doing that used this layer comp? Can you not simply describe what was being achieved with all of this? For example, I made a lot of cool automations to not miss out on nice variations of a technique or the ability to optimally compare a tweak side by side.
Many actions would lay down a number of layer comps, for example. I could then quickly move trough them with a side button on my mouse. With another button I could clear up all the ones I didn't pick and move on. I love to nerd out on that for the fun of it and a lot of that surely would be commercially viable, but I knew people would trial it too long... -- haha!So much work involved with all of that... (getting a web shop, manuals, legal agreements, ...)
But sure there are.
I may not even start up a DAW for years but then become empassioned and discover some thing that I want to own.
I change a passion for hobbies every few months. I may be into Photoshop for 3 to 10 months then be into something else for 3 to 12 months. I prefer my "trials" to be ready when I returnSorry to be honest.
Anyone who claims to be a clean sheet in all aspects of their life is most probably a big liar...
Well, any techniques of course. Do you like playing with contrast? Lay down 5 contrast variations (can be different techniques) so you can jump through those choices and pick an obvious better direction instead of tweaking (you can still tweak further if you have time or are all-knowing expert of course). I used many "stops" in actions and had interactions like these where I decide and continue. I had dozens of sub-actions with scripts in them. I liked to do complicated stuff quickly with minimal but important interaction. It IS very practical if you don't know exactly what you want -- I find that is maybe the hardest thing of all... I would rather know what I want and how to do it than to use 40 main action directions... But the results are so fun. Even Dan said it is important to make variations and pick the best.Variations of what technique? What kinds of things were you doing that used this layer comp? Yes and no. I'm not a guy that will show you galleries of my work (not to say it would be awful). For me, the actions/scripts ARE very practical and allow me to quickly amaze myself on a fairly continual basis. They are not cheap one-trick ponies -- they are advanced in many ways and have interaction.I don't mean to dismiss you but it comes across as a nice way to spend some time tinkering on something, is that right? Like randomally hacking away at python scripts or website creation just to see if you can do it.
Where are you getting that? I said I have a legal sub (soon after the sub system came out). We've gone deep into the rabbit hole of justifying why using hacked photoshop is justifiable, I still don't see why. if you just used a crack version "because you didnt want to pay for it" that's a perfectly acceptable answer, own it. But I'm failing to see a real world justification here.
I'll have the fish and beef, chef, and will pay you for the one I like best.Being indecisive is not a good reason to not pay for software.
I'd say for anyone with a "normal life," generally, trial periods are way too short...
WHO PLANS THEIR LIFE IN BLOCKS OF 7 DAYS?!?!?!? WHY SO ARBITRARY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!Agree! I downloaded the FAS Icons demo plugin but it is only seven days! I have to plan my whole life now because they only give 7 days!!! What is the logic on only that few days? Doesn’t make sense to me!
Now we understand your username. You totally broke into their warehouse didn't you?BTW, an "ethic crack user" will talk favorably about a software he loves anytime he can honestly do so -- I feel that is "beyond invaluable" and will help create sales for sure. There could be kinder thinking from devs towards this...
I did enjoy such a kind company once (not gonna name them). I warned that their "demo" was the actual plugin! They thankfully offered me any and all Photoshop plugins I would want from them. Sadly, I had purchased most of them already... ;P
I also feel you deserve to receive a software if you've spent hours reporting bugs for a $40-60 plugin.
So are you also pleading that perfectly ok purchased items should not be returnable...?Being indecisive is not a good reason to not pay for software.
Jesus man the public cracked usage defending is wild. I now see why individuals and companies need to take a harder line on things.BTW, an "ethic crack user" in large groups will talk favorably about a software he loves anytime he can honestly do so -- I feel that is "beyond invaluable" and will help create sales for sure. Too black 'n' white for me...When it comes to plugins/software I pirated stuff when I was a kid because I was dumb enough to think having the top of the line tools would make me better at engineering or make writing music better. Turns out getting good with simple tools is what makes buying the advanced ones worthwhile. If you barely know how a compressor works you definitely don’t need a super awesome vintage modeled with extras one and it definitely won’t make nonsense music better.
You wanted a topic with everyone agreeing with you who did not even dare to state your initial stance?Jesus man the public cracked usage defending is wild. I now see why individuals and companies need to take a harder line on things.
It’s giving the payment in exposure vibes all over again
