Playing Mandolin over 'Landslide' solo ideas!

Singer wants me to play a little solo on it but I'm more of a 'doodle over chords' player Ideas? Any Mando players here?

Are you playing Landslide capo'd at the 3rd fret?? Pretty sure the song starts in Eb, Bb, Cm7 for the verses.




For a Mando with GDAE tuning it would be fairly hard to comp a solo in Eb/Cm. Would have to change the
tuning and placement of the Capo to accomodate the Mando and allow you to use those open strings.

Tune the Mando to whatever you need to be able to play the melody, even if a little broken, with the highest open string droning a lot against the melody.
