I think what we tend to overlook, these guys are selling entertainment more than anything, not just gear. You got there because of gear talk, but you stay because their personal brand. Trolling like sarcasm is hit or miss for people. Some get it, some don't.I’m sure you’re probably right. If true that both of them troll and know it…that’s an even bigger turn off for me. Who knows maybe that’s the only way to grow a channel. That’s very sad if it’s the case.
But, very rarely now does a youtuber influence me to buy a particular product, but I'll watch them because I like their playing and/or some musical discussions that would interest me. Forums are much more effective at creating GAS, imo.
