I was young and inexperienced, I liked pointy guitars with Floyd Rose bridges... hmmm,OD1 Orange is absolutely god tier. @santiall knows what's good.
The 410 was finally the Marshall I had in my head and the only one that didn’t need to be insanely loud to sound right. Still the best value amp you can buy, particularly in the UK . £600 sh is common.I was young and inexperienced, I liked pointy guitars with Floyd Rose bridges... hmmm, pretty much the same as now, just not young...

So JVM owners, how do you set up your amp? What mode/settings do you use for each channel and what sort of tone are you using them for?
Sorry - thread's on page 11; it had to be done.Cant remember where I saw this but if you click the "10"![]()

Damn, that's crazy close! Nice work @FractalAudioFractal OD-1 Orange vs Real Amp & X-Load. I just matched the knob settings and chose the appropriate impedance curve/speaker settings in the amp block and turned the amp block NFB down a touch. Stupid good.

there were two changes back in 2007-08, the heater fuses were removed (with wire jumpers while the pcb stock lasted, then with a new pcb) and the pots were updated with nuts on the front panel. Were there any changes between 2007 and now on the JVM410? Any issues or years to avoid (like the bias drift issues on the JCM2000)?
There’s a 2007 near me. Wondering other than tube age if there’s any risk.
So are 2007-2008 not recommended? Problematic?there were two changes back in 2007-08, the heater fuses were removed (with wire jumpers while the pcb stock lasted, then with a new pcb) and the pots were updated with nuts on the front panel.
It pretty much remained like that for years but at some point the Svetlana =C= EL34s were not available anymore and the amp was tested with other EL34 brands. Some of them had oscillation issues so they reinforced a couple of tracks on the pcb with a wire to prevent those ultrasonic oscillations. It was rather marginal though and it was never an issue till using JJs or EH, I am not sure what brand was trickier to use.
other than that I am not aware of anything although I haven't been in the company for some years...
