I dunno, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a deal like Wylde Audio or Solar where WMI is making them in Indonesia. If these are decently priced I’d love to grab an N4. The few times I’ve played them I really dug them and I love the unfinished body.

I don’t even know what kind of state Washburn is currently in, I know they still have a custom shop but if that’s all they’ve been able to offer Nuno is a cut of expensive custom shop guitars when they could have a lower tiered model for sale, I’m not surprised he cut out the middle man and made it happen himself.

I didn’t know until recently that his Washburn sig was a copy of a partscaster he built in the 80’s, which makes sense on how he owns the IP for it entirely (like Ola/Solar and how he was able to take his sig model and turn it into his own line)

Not sure Washburn will be around for much longer unless they sort themselves out .
