Happy New Synth Day to me. I've been working on my keyboard skills and I'm playing them more so I wanted a dedicated synth so I'm not tied to a computer. I also couldn't afford a full on workstation. The Roland JUNO D6 seemed to be the perfect match and GC had a fantastic deal on a used one. Even more so since Roland prices have gone up 10% across the board. A new D6 was $899 until about a week ago. Now they're $989.
So far I like it and it's sized right for where I am. I've used my friend's Fantom 6 and while impressive, was too much for me right now. I couldn't even find how to do a simple EQ tweak on the fly. On the D6, press a button then turn the knob. Super easy.
