Same here. I played one once in '93. I had just been playing for a year so I had no idea what the hell to do with it. It was loud AF is all I remember. This is how much of an in-experienced poseur metaller I am. I've never owned an OG 5150 or 6505!
Same. I've only owned the 5150 III 50S.This is how much of an in-experienced poseur metaller I am. I've never owned an OG 5150 or 6505!

The OG 5150, cranked up LOUD; is a legendary beast. I like the IIIs I've owned and the II/+ is fine. But there is something about that raw ass honky grind of the original that just
I have a HUGE nostalgic tie to them as well. Second amp (after my first Dual Rectifier) I heard in person that had me taking notice of a sound I had to get myself. Sometimes the crusty evil classics are just what the doctor ordered.Yeah, I don't know how anyone could say that is not a decent amp, or unworthy. It's insanely cool.
5 years ago you could score one for $500 or so. Nuts! I wish I would have bought 3 or 4.
I think I paid $350 for mine in mid 2010s. Literally!

I had one in a moment of "sold the original let's see if this piece of shit does the trick" weakness years agoBugera cloned them, so they have to be good.
My fingers are just broken, or something I don’t think they’re unworthy, in fact most of my favorite tones of all time are the OG. I just suck

Needed new preamp tubes and the world's overgated noise gate but it was almost ok.
My guitar player had one of those. It was super flaky. The pots had the cheapest feel to them ever.I have no idea how Bugera/Behinger ever gets away with what they do. I also took the
plunge. It was the 333XL whatever, that I think was a take on the Peavey JSX (Satriani). It
definitely had tubes.
Cheers dude!!That track is sick. Love the wet noodle low string effect you've got with the camera frame rate there too.

My OG 5150 in action through some t-75s. Plenty of brutal to go round
