NMD: Two Notes Opus

Enjoying my new Opus a lot. I really dig what the power amp simulations have going on. The currently available preamps are really nice.

If I need to boost, the Chellee Ponyboy V3 has been a great fit for me. Running this pair in to an EVH SDE delay then on to a stereo dual looper with a headphone out. Sound really nice and fully amp like. The DynIR’s are easy to adjust and sound great in stereo.

A good number of presets are impressive to me. I get the sense that a large number of the available parameters were finely tuned to get the end results that I hear. Can something sound polished and raw at the same time? The Opus is a bit unique to me in that regard compared to a number of other modelers that live in the same neighborhood.

I like the software for the PC, iPad and iPhone. I also like that every single parameter can be adjusted on the unit without them

I’d like to see a bias adjustment for the amps made available and perhaps the ability to adjust slight latency between the two IR sections.
I hope they keeping adding new preamps. I think this unit is great for the price and what a nice bonus Genome is if you need or can use it.

I like to see an Opus+ released with added pre preamp effects like boosts, eq, drives, comp. In perhaps a double-wide sized like the EVH delay… along with 3 programmable foot switches.

Thanks for the suggestions! Consider it all noted down and sent to our team now! :)

@Ross Davies thanks for jumping in. How do the power amp sims in Opus compare to CAB M+? I have some tube pre-amps including a synergy rig that could benefit from the power amp sim + IR combo for direct use. Thanks!

Thanks for getting back to me. The Power Amp sims in OPUS are the very same from the C.A.B. M+ - however with OPUS you will find a much lower noise floor as we reworked the input architecture pretty significantly - meaning you can push the poweramp sims a lot harder! Let me know if you have any other questions!
