So now that you have both, can you tell if the JR neck is thinner than either the JP or Majesty? I'm comparing my JR 7 to a JP 6, but like I mentioned, it seems to me the JR is a little thinner. But I suppose it could just be that it
feels that way, because it's a wider neck. I'm too lazy to actually measure them.
All 3 are different.
The JP6 is painted but not at all sticky but it's also the most consistent from the nut all they way up.
The JR is the ultra nice gun stock oil/wax and wow that is special but it is a bit thinner and gets wider/taller the farther up you go.
The Majesty is painted but again not at all sticky either and it's wider/taller than both the others but consistent all the way up.
Looking at the specs online they all 3 have the 43mm nut and the website says the JP and JR have the same 15 radius while the Majesty has the 17" radius and my guess is the JP and JR specs say they are the same but the differences over the years (JP is 2010 and JR is 2024) they are just slightly different while being made.
This chart is JR on the left and JP on the right.
All three are super nice to play for me, I do have small hands and for me the EBMM necks feel comfortable to my hands.
JP Dimarzios are the absolutely fine but the most tame of the three and of course don't have the push/push boost.
Majesty Dimarzios are a bit hotter and have the boost option.
JR has EBMM pickups and the boost and are the hottest of the 3. The Majesty you can adjust the boost from the rear but the JR you have to take the cover off to adjust and my guess is it's turned way down on the JR because the boost on the majesty you can really hear but almost nothing on the JR.
All three are light compared to most of my other guitars but they are very acoustic/resonate.
Glad I grabbed the first one and discovered them. They cost a ton of money but the ones I have look and feel very worth it to me. I doubt I would ever buy new, they are just way too much. I don't buy new cars or EBMM I guess, let someone else drive it off the lot and save me a nice chunk of money.
