I thought I saw a thread here about somebody talking about they got they got some new speakers from a company to try out that weren’t released yet and he said they were awesome. I forgot if they were Jensen’s or eminence or what company does anybody have any idea any new release speakers or speakers that are coming? I’m just curious thank you

I am very interested in the Tone Speak Manchester for one of my 2x12s. I have their Birminghams in my AC30, and I’d describe them as Greenbacks on steroids. Greenbacks break up sooner and feel a bit squishier and more compressed, with that warm, woody classic-rock bark. Birminghams hold together longer, are tighter on the low end, a bit louder, smoother on the highs, and generally feel like a Greenback that hit the gym—same vibe, just more punch and less flub with gain.

I was looking into the Tone Speak British speaker line a few months ago. They are Misco’s guitar line of speakers, who also supplies most of the speakers for Avatar’s own speaker line.

I primarily know Misco as a public address speaker company, so I’m very curious how their interpretation of British speaker tone measures up to the major players.

They are just as good as any of the major players. I have them in my AC30 and they blow away the Warfdale speakers that came in the amp. I do like the Birminghams better than Greenbacks for the reasons I stated, but also the greater headroom gives me more control over the tone. Here is a clip of me playing through them. This is not the best clip, seeing that I record two amps in parallel. One is a JCM 2000 with a 2x12 loaded with Eminence Wheelhouse 12s, the other amp is my AC30 with 2x12 Birminghams. I run the mid-lows through the Marshall and the mids-highs through the AC30.
