Speaking of acoustic, I just got a Dimarzio Black Angel to throw in my old Takamine. I like mic'ing too, but it's also nice to just plug in and use an acoustic IR. Haven't had a chance to use yet though. Still looking to get really nice acoustic sometime this year, fingers crossed.

I was playing about with blending a mic'd acoustic and direct sound with an IR last week. I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was tbh.

Me too. I only have some free downloads from watching a worship tutorials vid and was pleasantly surprised. And that was just from me using an old Dean Markley sound hole pickup I have, although it has a hum.
