I watched this video and TBH, I could not find anything about it that I would want. The video is set up as a "Everything you wanted to know about tube amps" and it was nothing but a big commercial for a nothing special 15w EL84 amp from PRS

Watched a few demos and to me this reminds me of Blackstar amps, where they somehow tend to have this kinda muted character and even the bright switch doesn't seem to help. They don't "sparkle", or "bite". Maybe it's the cab/speaker that is wrong as all the demos use the matching cab.
I don't buy EL84s being an issue, anyone who has played Vox style amps knows they can sound just great.
The switches that can select if boost turns on/off a number of features is a neat thing tho.
I didn't say it sounded bad, just nothing special IMO. With the price range $100 less than Marshall Studio Series and a few more less than comparable Friedmans, it just doesn't blow my skirt up at all...
I didn’t watch the Rhett video. The prs demo vid didn’t do a lot for me, the amp sounded too full for me on that video. The Grissom video sounded really nice though. I like that bit with the switchable bright switch off the boost where he gets that big bridge pickup sound with the boost on and then a nice sparkle on the neck pickup with the boost off.
If I were gonna drop that amount on a new amp, I’d want more than 15 watts personally but it’s still a cool amp for the loads of people who like lower wattage.
