I'll have to try the pot again in Helix I thought it was easily louder than the bypass tone.

The ODR1 will easily do what you're after. I'll record a clip of mine tomorrow night into a clean amp model and post it for you. If you're building one go for the aion fx version as he's added a bass pot so you can cut as much bass as you want. The stock circuit is pretty bass heavy.
 
Finally getting around to finishing this thing. Decided to bust out the old paint markers and finishing spray. Knobs slated to come in sometime tonight.
