$3499. Just found it. But yeah, it's expensive, for what it is, which is a less featured amp than the MW was for hundreds less. I guess if you really have a boner for that sound......

I love my IIC+ reissue but this is so different. I’ve had other Rectos. This hits the spot. Shakes the whole house lol.

Just a straight up revision F.

You’ve got revisions A through G out there, plus all the newer 3 channel and multi watt versions.

I’ve had a Rev F Dual (serial but with the MK IV tranny) a Rev G Triple and a couple Tremoverb combos (one serial one parallel). They’re all gone so I can’t recall exactly the comparison. But mine felt all pretty close so this is no surprise and certainly no let down.

I can say that they did something with the crazy tapers on the pots. Definitely helps on the master vols if not running the loop master. Overall I’m very pleased!

I’ve always found the differences between the F and G to be negligible. There are small differences if you match knob positions, but in general you can just pull the bass back slightly and raise treble/presence slightly on the G it’s pretty indistinguishable from the F.

I wonder if the updated/revoiced MW will be cheaper than the 90s DR or similar price.

I guess it didn’t initially occur to me, but will the only current production Dual Rectifier be a reissue of a 90s amp?

I do wonder if there is yet another updated line coming that’s revoiced or whatever. Are the MW sales that dismal or is this just Gibson manufacturing scarcity in a high demand market?

Anyone heavily involved in the gear market a decade ago would go blind from the eye roll the current rectifier market induces. $2k+ is absurd for a revision F/G.

It will be the only one in production, but I do assume that soon enough there will be a refreshed modern recto line. It’s about time anyways, the MW has far outlasted any of its predecessors for a product cycle refresh
