At least it's a little cool this time. P90's = cool, finish = cool. Milky poo laurel fretboard = not cool.

That pic isn't doing that finish any justice. Copper irridescent is usually much brighter and more orange. "Sounds better than my actual 55!" Joe B can sure sell some snake oil. I wonder if he'll throw in a flying V back scratcher with purchase of a '55 Epi...

Some laurel isn't bad. You've really got to see the actual guitar. Some of it indeed is milky poo though, so that wax might do the trick.

I've got a real irrational dislike for Indian laurel. It's an immediate deal breaker for me even if every other feature of the guitar is pretty cool. It's frustrating cause I've had some cool epiphones over the years.

I don’t have any gripes with JB, but I had to chuckle at his Epiphone origin story he told in one of the launch vids that was put out yesterday. “I got a shitty knock-off Les Paul in Europe and then brought it to Epiphone and said “I want in”

I thought I was going to hear something altruistic like, “Hey, let’s make a competing guitar of quality so people would be willing to spend a couple hundred extra and get quality”, but that was pretty much “Put MY name on some knock-off Les Pauls”

A veneer on a guitar at that price point is an even bigger afront imo
